So many aspects of commercial construction incorporate modular components; furniture, flooring, lighting, communications equipment, ceilings, and signage, to name a few. The reasons we utilize an increasing number of modular components in our facilities are obvious:
As the pace of daily life increases, and as certain vertical markets such as healthcare, undergo dramatic changes in capacity needs and functionality, the ability to adapt to those changes becomes more urgent. Non-adaptable space must be re-constructed, sometimes frequently. So Neocase asks a simple question: In an environment where most surrounding components are designed to be reconfigured and re-used, why is most commercial casework designed to be used only once, and then discarded? The disadvantages to the use of fixed millwork in a dynamic environment may seem obvious, but are worth highlighting:
